Its been a sTrAnGe week in my world. I have, once again, waited until too far into Sunday evening to start writing this newsletter, and per usual, find myself searching for words.

Radishes smell like farts. So do other vegetables. I do enjoy eating them; currently, a radish kimchi. Still, farts.

I think I'm distracting y'all because I was hopeful to have good news to share, but this is the world we live in, and mine is currently still irrelevant. I guess some of you are probably celebrating a holiday today by enjoying your day off? I hope? Is that how the corporate world operates? If my phone's calendar app would automatically input it, that means the 9-5ers have it off, right? Don't feel the need to correct me. My questions are inherently rhetorical.

This past week had some leftover inspiration from the prior, and I finished a couple of creative projects early in the week. A Very Hungry Caterpillar and a fried egg... (I'm putting the dot dot dots- I think that's called an ellipsis, right?- to give you some time and space to be confused about what I mean.) They're stuffed. The Very Hungry Caterpillar ended up being 6 feet long, I think? Somewhere around there? It was a gift for a very precious, newly 1-year-old child that two of my dear friends created. The fried egg was inspired by THIS Ikea pillow, (side note right now Rakuten has 6% cash back on ikea and I have a referral code HERE) because I watned something cushion-esque to sit on while sewing (my current set up is sitting on the floor with my machine on a flipped milkcrate, so something under my tush is appreciated) My partner said it reminded him of That 70's Show, and somehow I got on the idea of a fried egg is basically a daisy without definition in terms of creating a cusion/ pillow. I've now made eggs in multiple mediums, shoutout to the few egg-shaped ceramic fridge magnets I made that are out in the world.

I then had a bad day; those happen. I'm a little too easy on myself when they do, but we are all works in progress. Got a lovely haircut (Hi Alan), received some shoes in the mail (Hi Casey), taught a yoga class- or at least I hope I taught and not just instructed- returned said shoes via UPS because they were too big, had a weekend, and ended up at a Patriots playoff game, there were free towels. Admittedly, I feel a little silly considering I didn't really understand football for the first 30 years of my life, but it is such a treat to be able to witness something that someone I love cares a whole lot about. It's one of my favorite things- seeing the people I love enjoy the things they love. Or hearing about them, considering my collection of loved ones is geographically scattered and not actually residing within my heart, thank goodness, that would be strange. Magic School Bus, anyone?

I'm starting to get the impression this will be a fairly short email. I'm pretty well exhausted, stoned, have a bit of a cramp, kind of ache, and am obviously still searching for words, although I did find ...some.

The easy route would be to blame my ADHD for the number of times I've stopped and started writing this. I could blame the fact that Will Trent gets interesting only towards the end of the first season, not to say it's uninteresting or a slow start, but personally, I needed some episodes for it to grow on me. Interesting wardrobe for the show if you're into details like that. We're on the second season now, so it has mostly grabbed my attention.

Its been weeks since I've given you an assignment. This week, I would like to offer you the little extra encouragement you need to start, continue, or finish a creative project. Since starting to write these weekly, I've been more drawn to other creative endeavors, too. its been a very worthwhile experience, so give it a chance. You don't have to be good at something to enjoy doing it. The end result doesn't have to be perfect for it to work. You don't have to be successful to learn something. Just a thought. No pressure. Probably good for you, though. Take it into consideration. If it's a hard no, just drink some extra water, maybe put a little Celtic salt in there. woo woo shit, you know.
Same time next week?
