Dear Diary.. I mean reader...

anyway.

I think lately things have been a bit of a sob story around here, and I feel like you signed up for, well, not that. I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm proud of the content I've put out over the past little while.

It's also definitely not Sunday night. (yes it is) In my defence, I spent several hours this afternoon ironing (burning things), measuring and cutting patches, cutting a pattern, fabric, and interfacing, and well, just otherwise tackling some of the scattered things that I've been meaning to get to, or at the very least setting myself up for these tasks to be much easier to complete in the near future.

Winter is tough. "The Holidays" are not my favorite. Feels like forced happiness, and that seems fake to me. Doesn't sit right, idk, call me a scrooge. I digress.

Little moments, though... I'm a nitpicker, annoyingly particular, and vocal. It's tiring. However, on rare occasions, something tickles me just so, and I get ever so delighted.

This week, while waiting for my new tires to be put on, a wander around a Walmart happened. What else happened? I happened upon the most adorable tiny bowls that are a small version of other bowls I already own and love. They have afforded me so many giggles, smiles, and funny quips like "honey, I shrunk the bowls" while emptying the dishwasher. They're incredible, and I'm so excited to slurp my morning applesauce out of one tomorrow.

Another thing that has been delighting me, "health and wellness". By this, I mean the shot of lemon ginger honey concoction I've been making without measuring anything. Well, I have used three lemons each time I've made it. That's been consistent. I haven't weighed the ginger or measured the lemon juice or done any official ratio or recipe testing. Just haphazardly making a little jar of health and wellness every few days. It's delicious as a little shot, but can also be made into a lovely tea that you have to stir often because the ginger separates in a way that reminds me of miso soup.

I must also do my due diligence and relay the information on FL-41 glasses for migraines/ light sensitivity. I got a 20% tint put in some green aviators, and I 1000% look like I might be halfway to Barstow when the drugs began to take hold, but man, are they nice on my eyes. 10/10 do recommend, I might order a darker tint next time I have the itch, but currently I have 6 pairs of glasses available to be worn, and, well, yeah.

Look at that, y'all, I did it again. I just started writing, and I had a fair amount of things to write several sentences about. I hope you found it mildly entertaining; I found it mildly enjoyable. I'm going to do my best to continue to seek enjoyment in the random rambles and keep my eye out for little moments. Cheers.
Same time next week?
